We are accustomed to broken promises. Warranties with fine print, politicians who please ears to get elected, and guarantees that are ignored. People have broken their promises to you. In fact, we have broken promises ourselves. So we become suspect and cynical. In Genesis 15, Abraham believed God’s promise; he trusted the Word and integrity of God. That trust was accredited to him as righteousness. Listen to Dr. John’s encouragement for us; even today, faith is enough to receive righteousness in Jesus Christ.
